Privacy Policy – Alawin
Start playingThis notice explains how Alawin collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit this site. We take data protection seriously and handle everything under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Scope of this notice
This privacy policy applies only to alawin-de.it.com — the independent information portal — not to the casino operator's own platform. If you create an account or place bets with the operator, their separate privacy terms govern that relationship.
We collect minimal data. You can read most of this site without handing over anything personal. The information we do gather falls into two groups: what you give us directly, and what we observe technically.
Categories of information we collect
Contact-form submissions: If you email [email protected] or use an on-site form, we receive your email address and whatever you write in the message. We need this to answer your question.
Technical and device data: Our server logs record your IP address, browser type, operating system, the pages you visit and the time you spend on them. This helps us spot errors, understand which sections are useful, and keep the site running smoothly.
Cookies and tracking: We use first-party cookies to remember your language preference and whether you accepted the cookie banner. Third-party analytics scripts — typically Google Analytics — track aggregate usage patterns. You can read exactly which cookies do what on our cookie policy page, and you can decline the optional ones without breaking anything.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for payment details, identity documents, or account credentials — those belong to the operator's domain. We do not buy or sell mailing lists, and we never pass your email address to marketing brokers.
Lawful basis for processing
Under UK GDPR every use of personal data needs a legal ground. Ours are:
- Legitimate interest — keeping server logs and running basic analytics so we can maintain the site and fix technical problems.
- Consent — using third-party advertising or marketing cookies, which you can decline in the banner.
- Contract performance — processing your email when you contact us, because answering your question is the service you requested.
Who we share your data with
We work with a small set of processors, and every one of them is bound by contract to protect what we send:
- Hosting provider — stores the site's files and database; receives server logs that include IP addresses.
- Analytics platform (Google Analytics or similar) — receives anonymised usage data if you consent to analytics cookies.
- Email service — handles messages sent to [email protected].
- Advertising partners — may place cookies for targeted ads if you consent; we do not control what they collect once their script runs.
We never sell your information. Law-enforcement requests are honoured only when accompanied by a valid court order, and we will notify you unless prohibited by that order.
International transfers
Some processors operate servers outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on adequacy decisions (for EEA countries) or standard contractual clauses approved by the ICO. Your data receives the same protection regardless of where the server sits.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You can exercise any of these at any time by writing to [email protected]:
| Right | What it means |
|---|---|
| Access | Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you |
| Rectification | Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete |
| Erasure | Ask us to delete your data when we no longer need it |
| Restriction | Limit how we use your data while a dispute is resolved |
| Portability | Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format |
| Object | Stop processing based on legitimate interest, including profiling |
| Withdraw consent | Revoke permission for cookies or marketing at any time |
We respond within one month. If your request is complex we may extend that by two months, and we will tell you why. There is no fee unless the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
Complaints and the ICO
If you believe we have mishandled your data, contact us first — most issues are sorted quickly. If you remain unsatisfied, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data-protection regulator. Visit ico.org.uk or call their helpline on 0303 123 1113.
How long we keep your information
Server logs are rotated every 90 days. Email correspondence is kept for two years after the last reply, then deleted. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymised after 26 months under Google's standard retention policy — you can shorten that in your own Google account settings.
Cookie lifetimes vary: session cookies expire when you close the browser, while preference cookies last up to one year. The cookie-policy page lists each one and its duration.
Protection of minors
This site is intended for adults aged 18 and over (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you are a parent and discover your child has sent us information, write to [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
Devices shared with children should use parental-control software such as Net Nanny or Qustodio to block gambling-related content.
Data security
We protect your information with SSL encryption, secure hosting, regular software updates, and restricted access to our systems. No method is perfectly safe, but we take every reasonable precaution to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure or loss.
Changes to this policy
We may update this notice to reflect new legal requirements or changes to how the site works. The revision date appears at the bottom. Significant changes will be announced on the homepage for at least 14 days.
